Detailed Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree: Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale) in Law / Dharamshastra / relevant / allied subject from an accredited Indian or foreign university.
- National Eligibility Test (NET): Candidate must have cleared the UGC NET / CSIR NET or a similar UGC-accredited test like SLET / SET.
2. Ph.D. Exemption Conditions
Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016) or registered prior to July 11, 2009, are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET, provided they meet the following regular Ph.D. criteria:
- Ph.D. degree awarded in regular mode.
- Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- Successful open Ph.D. viva voce.
- Publication of at least two research papers from the Ph.D. work in refereed journals.
- Presentation of at least two papers at conferences/seminars.
